Institute Inspection
Every institute applying for affiliation is visited in person. A nationally registered assessor for the relevant trade and a Board member verify the premises, ownership, classrooms, staff and documents against what was submitted online, then report to the Board.
What the team checks
The visit confirms that what exists on the premises matches what the institute submitted online. Nothing on this list is a surprise: every item is either something the application already asked for, or a facility any training premises is expected to have.
Premises & facilities
- Ownership or lease documents for the premises
- Classrooms — number, size and seating capacity as declared
- Workshops and laboratories for each trade applied for
- Major equipment and training consumables in each workshop
- Separate washroom provision
- Clean drinking water
- First aid and medical provision
- Fire safety and security arrangements
- Library and learning resources
- Signage identifying the institute at the premises
Staff, programmes & records
- Head of institute — qualification and experience
- Permanent faculty against the qualifications required for each trade
- Visiting faculty records
- Non-teaching staff
- Enrolment against the approved capacity declared for each trade
- Attendance and assessment records
- Industry linkages and any placement records
- Institutional bank account and FBR registration
- Original affidavit and the original bank-stamped challan
Before the visit
Have the originals ready — the affidavit and the bank-stamped challan are checked as originals, not as copies. The team does not carry spares, and a missing original is the commonest reason a visit has to be repeated.
After the visit
The team reports to the Board. Affiliation is granted by the Board and at no other moment — not by the visit, and not by the fee having been paid.
